  • a little about me

I am a Munich-based photographer and I specialize in capturing relaxed portraits, amazing details, and real moments in life. This blog follows both my personal and professional life, and features images from the things and the people I shoot, the things I find interesting, and the places I've seen. It's basically like my own hotspot for what's going on in my world, often with links to more images from those moments, as well as being an information source for my current and potential clients. Hope you enjoy and thanks for visiting!

I still have openings for the fall and be sure to watch out for the mini sessions coming soon!

More Fall Fun

Last weekend I had the double pleasure of shooting this fantastic family and shooting them with my new 85mm 1.4G. Talk about a double whammy!! Whew! And the icing on the cake was the spontaneity of this photo shoot! We’d talked about doing it the day before and it became a concrete plan a few hours before we met in the English garden. In any case, we had a great time, enjoying the Indian summer and loving the Fall leaves and colors! Here are few images from our Fall fun!!

Christmas Mini-sessions- the sweet fruits of our fun labors

Last weekend, under a beautiful blue sky and a lovely sunny day, my dear friend and fellow photographer, Kristin Speed, and I had the wonderful opportunity to capture many great moments with a few really fun, nice families in the Englisch Garten. It was a bit chilly, but everyone came with fun spirits and warm hearts, which made for a sure-fire recipe to success! Here are a few images from our fun Christmas mini-session weekend.

St. Nikolai Wedding

What a wonderful bridal couple, what wonderful friends and family, and what a wonderful time!!! When Pippo asked me to photograph his and D’s special day, I was ecstatic! I have known Filippo and his family pretty much as long as I have been in Munich- about 5 years. And they are very dear to me, so it was an honor to be there for them on this day! Here are few images from the beautiful wedding, which was at St. Nikolai Church and the reception following at Lenbach.

Holiday Family Portrait Mini Sessions

I know it seems early, but Christmas will be here before you know it. Sometimes it can be difficult to find the right gift for everyone on your gift-list, like your Great Aunt Martha, how many sweaters do you think she needs?! How about a beautiful family photo this year? Take advantage of our Christmas Mini-Sessions and spend less time running from store to store this Holiday season, and more time enjoying it! Be sure to tell your friends about these fun little mini-sessions! Send an email to robin@rkellerphotography.com with any questions or to reserve your spot!:)

How does a mini session differ from a full session?
My regular photo sessions usually last about 1-5-2hrs and are at the location of your choice. Mini sessions are conducted at a specific location and are thirty minutes each. Only one outfit and one location (predetermined by photographer) is allowed. This session is for families of all ages—up to four participants are included in session pricing (please add $15 for each additional person).

May I book multiple mini sessions together?
For this particular session, we are only allowing one session per family.

How do I sign up for a mini session?
Send an email to robin@rkellerphotography.com  Include Parents name, child/children’s name(s), ages, and whether you would prefer a morning or evening session time.   Inquiries will be responded to on a first come first serve basis.  There is a 50% non-refundable deposit due up front to reserve your spot and the remaining fee is due at your session.

What if it rains or the weather is bad on the day of our mini session?
In case of inclement weather, mini photo sessions will be rescheduled for another weekend.

Can I get a map to the mini session?
I will email you a map of where the sessions will take place. We include this information in a private email to disclose the location to participants only. The generalized location will be near Prinzregentenstrasse.

When will I receive my pictures/CD?
Please allow 2-3 weeks for editing. Your pictures will then be mailed to you to the address provided on an information slip to be completed at the time of your mini session.

What to wear?
The holiday mini-sessions will take place in a fall setting, so think about colors that will fit well into this setting… browns and beiges are always a great choice. Or colors that will pop out against the bright yellows and oranges..like a nice turquoise for example. Patterns are ok, but try not to mix them too much…for example mom in polka dots, dads in stripes, the kids in plaid, etc would be a bit too much. Layers can be added and removed to create different looks in minimal time. When it comes to jeans, opt for the darkest indigo wash. These tend to be the most flattering and least dated. Or Christmas-y colors would also be nice! With a nice Santa hat on top! Most importantly, everyone should be casual and comfortable in their attire:)

 What to bring?
I like to think that ‘less is more’  when it comes to photo sessions, and that the most important think to capture is your family and their personality, but if there is a ‘prop’ or item that is special to you or helps show your personalities, feel free to bring it! I’m always open to new ideas!:)

When to arrive?
On-time of course! Please don’t be late as this will put us behind schedule and will lead to later clients having to wait. Please plan to arrive a few minutes early.

**Please note that only ONE household family is permitted per time slot.  Immediate families only, no combined families.**

Don’t wait to sign up! This mini session will fill up fast! I’m looking forward to a fun mini-session weekend! Hope to see you there!

Wolfgang and Marianela- part i

The wedding of Wolfgang and Marianela- when David asked me to second shoot with him this wedding, I was thrilled to be given the opportunity. But who knew I was going to LOVE IT SO MUCH! The couple were amazing to work with and the venue was super cute and ekt Boarisch!! And, never, I tell you, never, have you ever seen a bride who was so calm and had so much composure on her day! I was there to help David photograph Marianela getting ready, be the second camera in the church, and help out during the portrait session. Well, I just couldn’t stop shooting for an of it! It was really a great time! look forward to the next opportunity I have to capture that special day for a couple!:-)
